Tis’ the season for the album rush…couldn’t resist posting a few product shots of this beautifully bound, silk wrapped album that just came in. For my clients who opt for the digital wedding package, I always send a long a few extra cd’s for parents and relatives to have. I resisted the cd for a long time…being a lover of all things in print…. but I can see such a value in it for my clients, and I have made it more affordable than ever for my clients to purchase this right when they book their big day.

couldn’t resist sharing these awesome CD cases today…..

These custom CD cases always make me feel happy as I pop them in the mail and send them to my clients. With gorgeous image quality, and just the right touch of personalization, it really puts the icing on the cake for my couples and parents who purchase the digital files to their wedding or family session.

People often ask why, if a CD is so inexpensive to purchase physically, why is the digital collection the most expensive option? Almost all of my clients are going for that digital set these days, and it is because they get the printing rights, and FULL RESOLUTION files…these aren’t just 5 x 7 files or ones you can put on Facebook. These are images you can print as many times as you want, and in any SIZE you want, and in any medium you want. The options are truly endless. From canvas to large prints, to books and albums, mugs, t-shirts….anything!

I love this beautiful album that just came in last week. As I have mentioned before, albums are a labor of love for me…I spend hours choosing the right type of album for each client, designing it, picking out linens and silks, and then pray as I send it off to my amazing printers to do their own artful work.

Courtney and Nick’s wedding took place at the gorgeous Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire, and it was the perfect backdrop for any photographer all covered in snow in the beginning of January.

This album is a classic black linen cover, dressed in gold foil lettering. Each thick page is also fabric based, and as you turn the pages it has luxurious and rich feeling in your fingertips.

This album is 30 pages and contains over 40 of Courtney’s favorite photographs. It is so wonderful seeing every thing finally come together like this. It feels so great to hand off amazing products that will last a lifetime, especially with such a heartfelt wedding.

i wanted to wait until my big canvas came to debut William’s room. well, as life goes with a newborn at home….you get busy and you are buying diapers and wipes and caffeinated beverages to stay awake, and clothes because aparently you have given birth the the worlds fastest growing baby,  and the canvas waits until you can save up your pennies. and, after almost 12 weeks, i FINALLY hung it up today….i couldn’t be happier and now his room finally feels complete! this is no small 16 x 24….this is a 40 x 60 canvas, printed luxuriously in black and white.

see the crib… see this ROOM. isn’t it nice?!

he hasn’t slept in it yet.

i digress.

you would think as a photographer i have pictures hanging up everywhere, but the fact is….i have very few. the indicision gets me….i can’t pick a favorite…especially of the girls. i always want our ‘wall art’ to show who we really are as a family….but with so many it is hard to pick just which one. this year, my goal is to get one big canvas of each little person and one of them all together.

i challenge my clients to really go large with prints. as much as i love 5 x 7 and 8 x 10′s, these are NOT wall sized photographs by themselves. in William’s room i did a cluster of fun frames to display my…ummm…addiction to ETSY….i mean art.  this is a great way to show off lots of different sizes without isolating a single photograph by itself in an ocean of blank wall.

so here is to more art on my walls (and yours!), and a sleepy baby in this own room!
