Daily Mantra:
“We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.”
{tom.robbins}

I feel we are all too close to lie. The truth is….{brace.yourselves}….I fall in love ALL the time. I do. Maybe not the love in the romantic sense you are thinking of {only college was an exception to that…because then I really WAS in love all the time romantically…but I was young, and had moved from a small town to a place with way too many boys…come to think of it, I am really thinking about sending the girls to an all girl college…I digress…you get it, I was boy crazy}. I fall in love with people because they are amazing. If you have ever spent an hour in a book store coffee shop {I highly recommend Borders} you will see what I mean by “love”. In one hour of semi-people stalking, you will find yourself pleasently surprised at how beautiful people are. They walk carefully, talk with their {mother, son, daughter, wife, husband, father, friend}quietly and with peace…like it’s a holy place…this place with books and other soft walkers. They browse for magazines I have never heard of, speak in languages I will never understand, and read newspapers that have an unreasonable size and girth. The combination of teenage fruity body spray, and grandpa’s spicy aftershave saturate the air and dance on the coattails of a passing toddler or a busy attendent rushing by to wipe tables. People contain a magic all on their own without tricks, or bunnies popping from hats, or special wands with sparkles and glitter.
I love the little, weird nuances that people have…the ticks, or the way they run fingers through their hair. I love that when you are really looking, you can still find genuine and random acts of kindness among people who don’t know each other, even if it’s just a gentle nod to say “Hi…you are a member of the human race and I acknowledge that we have met eye contact”.
Love is the half smile of perfect stranger walking past you in book store coffee shop…who doesn’t even know you, but knew that you were worthy a quirky half smile anyway.
