there is a calm before a storm that happens on the ocean…a peaceful quiet whir that wraps you. when i met up with Rachel and Joe it was just before the hurricane hear in Maine, and the beach was a dream of fog and waves that blurred into the sand. everyone had escaped to their homes and we were left to enjoy the rare quiet and capture some amazing images of them before their big day in 2012!
daily mantra: sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory…
daily mantra: your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it

i wish i had a bazillion brides like Robyn. i love it when couples concentrate on what matters for their wedding…love and family and friends whom you have made your family. this day was truly a blessing to photograph.

i just loved this little boy watching Andrew and his mom dance…
That’s my daughter in the water
everything she owns I bought her
Everything she owns.
That’s my daughter in the water,
everything she knows I taught her.
Everything she knows.
Everything I say
she takes to heart.
Everything she takes
she takes apart.
That’s my daughter in the water
every time she fell I caught her.
Every time she fell.
That’s my daughter in the water.

as a mom of two little girls i could only hope that mine could grow up and be as amazing and smart at these three. amidst their very busy summer schedules they got together at their family camp to take these photographs for their parents anniversary present. (Hint Mikki and Katie: this is a fabulous idea….)
