10…when i photograph a client, i hear music in my head. its not my music. its what i think they listen to. i don’t know why i do it. i like it when clients play music. most of the time i am right on, but sometimes i am surprised {happily}

9… i still get nervous before a session…before a wedding i get almost  throw up….same thing happened to be before field hockey games in high school.

8… in my wildest dreams i never thought i would do something creative with my life. i feel so lucky and blessed that i didn’t go down the road i chose for myself 10 years ago.

7… when i dream, i still hear waves in in the distance even though i haven’t lived near the ocean in a decade.

6… my husband and i used to live in hotel room. no joke…we have come far.

5… i know it sounds silly, but some of my best friends {and photographers!} i have have met online. we have formed bonds and relationships that i know will last a lifetime. people  laugh…but i talk about all them in my every day life as if they live next door.

4… i love my clients. . . no really. i do…

3… people ask me where i got the idea for quotes: well…i am SUCH a dork, but i got it from my middle school history and home room teacher Mr. King who used to put a quote on the board every morning of school. i sat in the front row. {did i mention i was a dork}

2… i love photography, but i have to admit that i do wish that someone else could handle the business end of things.

1…  spiritually, i believe every person meets for a reason. destiny…? i don’t really know what it is that makes this world work, but i know when i truly connect with people…my family, friends, clients, even animals…i do feel that there was a reason we crossed paths.

daily mantra: confidence, like art, never comes from having all of the answers; it comes from being open to all of the questions.
