{christmas} card maddness…

As every obsessive mother/photographer will tell you, the search for the epic Christmas card photo is an adventure only suited for the strong at heart, mind, and soul. {Occasionally one must use upper body strength, so a good work out plan doesn’t hurt either} As usual, my endeavor for the perfect picture of my two ‘lovely’ ladies started in July. Yup…July. And, here we are, 3 weeks before big ol’ Saint Nick comes knocking, and the perfect photo has eluded us once again.

Exhibit A:

Well…at least they look cute.

Unrelated Daily Mantra:

“There is no half singing in shower, you’re either a rock star or an opera diva.”

Aww, this shot is perfect to ME! They are darling, they always manage to make me smile! I gave up the idea of the “perfect” Christmas card photo a long time ago, now I’ll settle for them all looking at me at the same time! LOL!

I agree your girls always put a smile on my face! They are beautiful and so smiley!

That is a wonderful shot. I totally gave up on getting a picture of my two together and settled for two separate ones where they were both looking at the camera. :)

The perfect picture is “any” one with your kids in it. They are so adorable.

Takinf pics of my own kids is madness!

I’ve given up on getting that “perfect” shot. I totally say you should use this one though, it’s so telling of their childhood antics and personalities.

It’s so cute! I can’t get a picture of my two together where they don’t look like statues. :-(
I got that Christmas card holder on my blog in a gift shop by the movie theater in Oxford. (I can’t remember the name of it, but in Maine that description works, right?)

All your pictures of your little sweeties are wonderful! Very creative cropping and POV; I love the little grin at the elbow!

Yeah, this year I did individual shots for our Christmas card because I just couldn’t handle trying to get all of us looking halfway normal! Great shot!

I think it’s darling! Everytime I see a picture of one of your girls I smile. You capture their innocence so perfectly!

Mandy, your girls always look so cute, and I LOVE this shot–so cute! Does anyone EVER get the perfect photo?? It seems to be as elusive as the Yeti.

Love your daily mantra . . . I’d a rock star by the way! LOL
I really like this picture . . . she has such a cute expression, almost like she’s about to start giggling big time!
Good luck with your christmas photo!!

I love this shot and would totally use it! I know how you feel though, I have such a tough time getting my two together. This really captures their personalties though.
