Daily Mantra: “Let there be many windows to your soul, that all the glory in the world may beautify it.”

{ella.wheeler.wilcox}

I think I think too much. I over think every single, minute little thing when it comes to taking pictures sometimes. ISO, shutter speed, blah..blah…blah. I was just hanging out in my room with katie today…not really hoping for a picture because I was pre occupied with the fact that my dresser is a complete mess of clothes I don’t wear anymore, when I saw her standing in the window with her crazy blond hair. It was simple. I wasn’t thinking about it…I just felt it.

Moments of simplicity are hard to come by these days.

Mandy! I LOVE IT! I totally agree with you, I find myself doing the same thing – worry about shutter speeds, ISO, composition and so on. My husband has offically band me from taking my “good” camera to anything not photography related…lol:)

OMG. This took my breath away. I am an overthinker too, it’s a curse. I need to step back and just DO and not think sometimes… thank you for the reminder. :)

What a totally beautiful, evocative, photo! The thing is, your thinking seems to be really, really productive! You’re honing a skill, and have shown such incredible results over this past year! As long as you don’t find yourself thinking and thinking, and it making you feel horrible in some kind of way, but thinking and it helps you “get” what you’re working on. . . .
. . . . (just a thought.)

What a perfect example of just “feeling” it and getting it perfect. What an extraordinary shot. Just beautiful in it’s simplicity.

It’s such a beautiful picture Mandy. I am the same way as you, I overthink when it comes to my kids pictures(I don’t mind it when I do for clients) and sometimes feel like I miss the moments. I am so glad you captured this one.
