Miss Mikki “helping” me out with my new lens. Just got the 50mm 1.8 a few days ago…its a lot different than the 85mm, but I like it. I can get so much closer and it is really nice and sharp.

- That's a great shot, fabulous focus on her eyes! I had this lens and it wouldn't work on my 40D, but I had some fabulous shots with it on my 20D. Weird...it should have been compatible, but I got the 'error 99' so I gave it to a friend.

- hey! that's my lens! I love it. I've wondered about getting the 85 too but wondered if it would just be redundant. But you say they're very different... I'm curious - what are the differences other than focal length?
