Daily Mantra: “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”

Miss Mikki “helping” me out with my new lens. Just got the 50mm 1.8 a few days ago…its a lot different than the 85mm, but I like it. I can get so much closer and it is really nice and sharp.

hey! that’s my lens! I love it. I’ve wondered about getting the 85 too but wondered if it would just be redundant. But you say they’re very different… I’m curious – what are the differences other than focal length?

Mandy, she is so adorable! What a great capture. Glad you love your new lens!

That’s a great shot, fabulous focus on her eyes! I had this lens and it wouldn’t work on my 40D, but I had some fabulous shots with it on my 20D. Weird…it should have been compatible, but I got the ‘error 99′ so I gave it to a friend.

Enjoy your new lens. I have one and hardly ever use it, I should have sent it to you. But maybe you’ll inspire me to haul it out more. Great, fun, creative shot as always!

Amen to that quote! I just love this picture. That lens is my absolute favorite. It is on my camera all the time. I didn’t get to comment on yesterdays picture but I just loved it. It came at a perfect time for me and really raised my spirits. You will make a fabulous social worker and bless those live you touch. You have already!
