A lot of you asked me my settings for yesturday:
Shutter: 10/600
F 3.5
Iso: 64
Focal Length: 10mm
I was standing right next to our bay window the light was really wonderful and perfect. To get the creamy tone I ran noisewear, and then created a new layer. After that, I desaturated the layer and put it on soft light mode. Sometimes it just really seems to help give the colors a nice look…sometimes it looks awful.
I try it all.![]()
Today was a bad picture day for me. . . I didn’t have the patience to deal with it, as I am really trying SO hard to get my school work done in the beginning of the week because we are having company this weekend. So…nothing fancy, but I love to catch my girls playing with eachother. Usually I trip over myself and they notice me, but I was able to get a few shots of them playing.
And the finished work was of her and her dad fishing. The sun and mountains are up top and I was pretty impressed with her fish.![]()

These are especially adorable.. I love seeing active pictures, of the kids being “kids”… Your coloring is always perfect toO! I hope you are coming with us to C town!
Thanks for sharing that you had a bad picture day! What a little artist you have!
So not a bad picture day at all, these are the sweetest captures. I love the little hand holding the picture! On my pictures I used the Tamron 28-75 2.8. I really love that lens and the price is great. It is my till I can afford a 24-70L lens
How cute! You’re getting those everyday shots you’ve been after, and they’re nice! Love the little hand on the fabulous picture.
Fun shots! Love the artwork

OMG Mandy, I love your new header! Totally, totally beautiful! In your photos, I love how in the 2nd one, your daughters’ feet show, and in the 3rd, with her beautiful art work, one perfect child’s hand, with fingers stretched wide, completes the picture. It’s the perfect detail that makes the photo (imho)!
Thanks for the comment on my blog; you crack me up! Beer? Good question. Perhaps under cover of night, I should trek back there, camera in one hand, opener in another, and beer mug in the other, tap it and check it out! (Ok,. . . too many hands. . . I’ll use the neck strap for the camera!)
These are so sweet. You have a blooming artist among you
Love the one with them behind the easel.
Sometimes these are the best pictures and the ones you will treasure years from now! I love the interaction!
They look so cute playing together. Makes me sad dd doesn’t have a brother or sister to play with. One day.
These are so cute! I love the little hand in the last one and what artwork!!!
Definitely an impressive picture! Love interaction like this…it’s those moments that mean the world to my momma heart.
You have definitely passed on your artistic abilities!
I love captures like this. Just perfect. My girl run when they catch me which is almost all the time. Her picture is great too.
I think you did an incredible job of taking every day photos here! Love them.
I love the drawing! So cute!
It’s so sweet to see them playing together, my girls are five years apart and don’t have a whole lot in common. I really like the second one with the splash of color, but also how you only see their legs and can tell they’re not the same age, yet having fun together!
ooooh love the artwork!!! i am all about those little easels–they are sooo great!!! you are doing a nice job with all these ‘everyday shots’, too!!
How cool to catch them playing together. I love the work of art!! Great job!!
